At the Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent Foundation in Paris (5 avenue Marceau, 75008 Paris), you can still appreciate one of the last temporary exhibitions of the foundation : « Vivre pour l’art » it means : « To live for the art » with a selection among YSL and Jacques Doucet own art collections.
The chose of paintingd and the scenography are really interesting. The pieces of art come from different periods and the scenography is made to recreate the amosphere of Jacques Doucet and YSL’ s appartment. The place is perfect to recreate the two apartements : small spaces, soft light, cosy atmosphere allow to recreate the house of the two fashion designers. It is like a walk into their intimate spaces : first the entrace, then the rooms passes, and we finally reach the living room, decorated by a painting from Rousseau and a georgous brown leather sofa.
The exhibition ends the 02.14.2016 (http://www.fondation-pb-ysl.net/fr/Accueil-Fondation-Pierre-Berge-Yves-Saint-Laurent-575.html)
