In order to celebrate Corea year in France, the Guimet Museum in Paris must make us travel to Corea which is done thanks to the « Tigres de papier » exhibition which is hapenning right now until the 02.22.2016. This exhibition celebrates the 130 years of friendship between Corea and France. It is interesting to see the cultural institution’s play in international relationship. The Guimet museum organises 3 exhibition in order to celebrate Corea including an contemporary art exhibition of a corean artist Lee Bae : his work is shown for the first time in France.
« Tigres de papier » focuses on Choson’s art : the last corean dynasty which lasts for five centuries. Furnitures, paintings, engravings: the exhibition is exhaustive.
The museum has been renovated in 2001, and the corean gallery’s size was multiplied by six.
Here are a few pictures I took which I hope will make you go to this exhibition.
